This week I got data streaming from 20 pads. It proved to be a little complicated; there is a sweet spot between the baud rate and timeout necessary to get all the data through without error.
The FSR pad is covered with vinyl. It has a good response still, just had to update the threshold value to draw. Also pictured below is the circuit on protoboard.
Next up: program behavior and install in space. I’ve been thinking about how the pads are going to be installed, and the distance between them is becoming an important factor in the interaction model. What I plan on seeing is a fluid digital/physical interaction where users can see what they are effecting on the monitor, but also looking around to see who they are connecting to on the screen. The nodes will either be clustered in areas or completely spread out.
